Last Minutes Rustic Gift Wrapping

If you’re anything like us, gift wrapping traditionally happens at 9:00 pm the night before Christmas. When in a flurry of Santa wrapping paper purchased from the drugstore at the last minute. Sure, it does the job in a time crunch. However, isn’t there something special about a gift that was wrapped with care?

One of our favorite parts of Christma is the gift wrapping. We absolutely love finding new ways to make presents look pretty under the tree. Such as, a few years ago we cut branches of holly and slipped them under brown string – we have to admit it was soo prickly. As our poor family couldn’t fully appreciate the beauty of it! We still absolutely love the idea of wrapping presents with natural items. For example, using simple brown paper and string. Sometimes you could even use muslin and decorate with whatever is in the garden (with thorns). This makes the presents smell lovely too.

For us, we used a few evergreen sprigs from our backyard to add a dainty wreath as an addition items for the present. Start with using a piece of short wires serves as the ring and support for the wreath. Then with the evergreen branches wrapped around it ending with a ribbon.

We took the time to create wrapping that’s as beautiful as the gift inside — all with minimal effort, cost and DIY skills. Take a look at this clever DIY gift wrap ideas. Share with us your version! Take a photo of yours, send us an email, tag us on Instagram, tweet us, anything. We love to see yours! Happy Christmas!

xoxo, Joe.
