Scallop Seashell

When visiting the beach when I was young, the first thing I do is to find some seashell. They are so many different shape and color. The seashells are all uniquely beautiful. I always thought you are able to hear the sound of the sea if you put your ear near the shell.  I want to collect them all but in Singapore beach, you can’t find any at all. Well, this means I only can collect them by painting them.

So this month of July, I am going to paint a series of beautiful, colorful seashell. The first seashell that I am going to paint is the one we dream of having a pearl in it – Scallop Seashell. This is also the seashell that little mermaid sleeps in. Isn’t it pretty?
