We’re someone who’s not generally into using a lot of bright colors to decorate our home. And one of the main things we grapple with is how to use muted shades without my rooms looking bland. To add interest to a largely neutral home is to embrace the beauty of different materials. Which brings us on to our current obsession: marble and wood!
The combination of these two materials makes the kitchen looks very warm and inviting to me. Moreover, the wooden cabinets go very well with the black handles and the marble countertop and splash guard. We like the combination of open shelving and top cabinets against the wall as well. It makes for ample storage possibilities, but also an area to display your nicest things (like the lamp, plant and pretty cups in this case).
